Lily Goldshore

There is incredible power in being truly seen and known by another. I am passionate about helping people connect more deeply with their loved ones and with their true selves through the healing power of a therapeutic relationship.

Lily specializes in helping individuals and couples with parenting issues, infertility challenges, and family building. The choice to become a parent and the process of doing so can be fraught with challenge, uncertainty, and heartbreak. Partnership and raising children often involves confronting complex family dynamics and unmet needs in our own childhoods. Lily helps people engage flexibly in their ever-evolving identities and roles while staying true to their core values and priorities. She helps people process trauma, grief, and early attachment wounds as they seek to deepen their present-day relationships.

Lily also specializes in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples and is interested in issues related to gender identity, sexuality, and sexual functioning. She has specific training and experience working with trans, gender-diverse, and intersex people and also has worked extensively with people with chronic medical illness and those with several marginalized identities.

Lily approaches therapy with clarity and compassion and brings warmth, gentleness, and humor to every relationship. She approaches sensitive issues with tenderness and seeks to dispel shame and stigma through a radically open approach. Lily believes wholeheartedly in the power of giving language to unspoken pain and hurt, and she will work with you to access your voice and authenticity. She ascribes to a belief in our shared humanity and in the power of vulnerability and connection.

I live by the philosophy that
to love and to be loved is the greatest endeavor of the human experience.
I could spend every day
cooking and hosting dinner for friends and family, seeing live theater, and walking in the Wissahickon with my dog.
As a therapist, I
I strive to bring humility and a collaborative spirit to every session, and I honor the strength, optimism, and resilience of each person who seeks out therapy.
