Supervision/Consultation

If you are a therapist who has been seeing couples and feels stuck in your work, consider setting up a couples supervision session with one of our clinicians. Our doctoral-level team has been trained in multiple couples modalities, maintains an average caseload of 10 couples per week, attends weekly hour-long case conferences, supervisions, and consultations, and we are all trained supervisors.

Supervision sessions might consist of just one meeting where you talk about the case at hand to better understand other avenues of treatment. You might also want to meet weekly or bi-weekly with your supervisor if the particular case is complicated enough. Some clinicians meet with their supervisor in perpetuity to ensure the highest standard of care in their caseload in general.

Whatever the agreed upon frequency, couples supervision is an enriching way to be connected in the therapeutic community, feel supported in this immensely difficult yet rewarding work, and gain confidence in the complicated process that is couples therapy.

The first step is to reach out to our Intake Coordinator, Elisabeth Wester, to set up an initial 15-minute phone consultation, which will help you make sure you are a good fit with your chosen supervisor. At that point you can talk about moving forward with your first meeting.

We hope to have the honor of helping you do your very best work with each and every couple.
